Aqua Cube, the Maldives' premier water sports equipment retailer, is proud to announce the appointment of Abdulla Shaafee, known to many as "Spiderman," as National Team Rider for the brands of Connelly Water Sports in the Maldives.
The agreement was signed on 30 May 2024 at a small ceremony at Goidhoo, held during the Red Bull Wind Riders event.
Shaafee is a skilled kite surfer and wakeboarder and serves as Deputy Director of Watersports and Diving at Jalboot Group. As an Aqua Cube ambassador he represents Connelly wakeboards and water skis, as well as a range of water toys.
Aqua Cube distributes Connelly in the Maldives, and we are delighted to have a rider of Shaafee's experience flying the flag for the brand locally. His role as National Team Rider reflects our commitment to pairing Maldivian talent with the equipment they ride.
Shaafee joins our growing athlete family alongside Hassan Mahir (Hantey) and Abdul Gafoor (Gabbe) - riders who represent Aqua Cube's commitment to premium brands and community watersports.
